Raptor Fund

Our Voice for a Fair, Responsible Criminal Justice System in Colorado

The Criminal Justice Field is an area of expertise.  Even though, scores of criminal laws are passed each year, few lawmakers and policy makers truly understand the impact of their actions.

Established in 1996, the Raptor Fund was created to ensure that the voice of the Colorado Criminal Defense Community is heard by state legislators, administrators, and executive officers. Our goal is simple:

The CCDB advocates for a balanced criminal justice system that treats the accused and the convicted fairly and justly.

Our voice counter balances the rhetoric that policymakers hear from the law enforcement lobbyists and prison builders. Through the Raptor Fund, the CCDB employs and supports its experienced Legislative Liaison and Legislative Committee.

The Raptor Fund is a necessary but voluntary fund.  Legislative and lobby expenses are extremely high and are not met by CCDB membership dues.  Only through the generous contributions of members and supporters can the CCDB’s legislative and policy successes continue.

HELP US TODAY!  You can contribute to the Raptor Fund in one of two ways.  First, you can download the Raptor Contribution Form and return this form with your contribution to CCDB offices at 1544 Street, Denver, Colorado 80206.  Make your check out to the CCDB and indicate “Raptor Fund” on the memo line.  OR you can contribute on-line RIGHT NOW by clicking on the icon to the left of this sceeen "Contribute On-Line Right Now!"

SHARE YOUR VOICE WITH YOU ELECTED OFFICIAL - The CCDB is connecting CCDB Members to their elected representatives in the Colorado General Assembly.  From time to time it is necessary for elected officials in the House and Senate to hear from constituents like you.  If you are willing to call your personal elected official, please take one minute to complete a 3 question survey.  The CCDB will compile the state-wide database.  In the event, your elected representative needs to hear your voice on a piece of criminal justice legislation, we will contact you to make the call.
